Today its first anniversary of 26/11. Lot has been done by media to encash the feeling of people like publicizing articles, documentary, sms campaign to name a few. Special prier meeting is being conducted for those who laid their life in fight against terrorism. I feel we have somewhere forgotten those who were eyewitness or suffers of this incident.
While reading the latest issue of "The Week" came to know that still people are come to term post completion of an year of the incident. Still few are in hospitals undergoing surgery after surgery to get them back. Monetary help received by them was less in comparison to what they have born till and in future.
I remember the incident of Mr. Ransley Senthumayor (29), who is still in hospital with the sole hope of being able to stand on his feet one day. He received monetary compensation of Rs 1.5 lack but till now his total expenditure in hospital has been close to 6 lakh, that's not the end. If he want to stand on his feet then need to under go few more surgeries till date 7 has already been performed on him.
There would be few more like him , who may not even have the money to treat them or may use it to feed their family. These are the people who need to get attention and support from masses and media. But nobody thinks about them as they can't mint money others like others. Can anyone tell me has humanity been degraded to such an extend today that we only care for money and not for human feeling and sufferings.
Isn't it our duty and responsibility to something for those people who have been left alone to fight the trauma of terror?
