A friends "Bachelors Party"

Who doesn't enjoy their freedom especially guys? Guys doesn't want to take any tension life as they are interested to lead a cool life. But such things can happen only in fairy tales not in reality. Marriage is a barrier to a guys rocking life as post marriage he is answerable to his wife. Wherever he does his better half needs to be informed about it. As soon as a guy is about to about to get married his friends throw a bachelors party to remind him that his days of freedom are numbered.

On of my friend is going to tie knot on 26th Jan 2010. Today he will be leaving for his home town to return back as a family man. Yesterday was his bachelors party, a night for him to remember before marriage. Party was rocking but had few bachelors like me, others were married guys ready to enjoy their lost days.

There was drinks, music, etc to entertain an individual but the going to be groom was not happy as we friends were pulling his legs. We felt it was the last time when he can be himself without any restriction and enjoy things to the fullest. Best part was all married guys were sharing their experiences with to horrify him but these talk didn't change his mind. He told" I am ready for the after effect of marriage, you guys need not worry about it. Anyways I am planning to discuss it with your respective wives." That was a bouncer, expression of all married turned bachelors was worth watching.

Didn't realize how time passed by and it was time to bid goodbye, as most of us had office next day. We all wished him "happy married life" and left for our houses. Don't know who's next to get married but "bachelors party is for sure"...

Great service from whirlpool washing machine

Kids at time create menace which cause big problem for grown ups. Something like that happened at my cousins place 2 weeks ago, when a 3 year old kid turned the timer of washing machine in reverse order, resulting it to stop all its function. Washing machine is more of a necessasity for us than comfort us as my bhabhi has back problem and our maid has also left us 1 month ago. Its not easy to locate on in short span of time though the hunt is on.

My cousin brother went to the shop from where we got the machine, to send their service people as soon as possible. Though they promised but didn't sent anyone, with every passing day clothes were piling up at home. Finally bhabhi called me one day to get whirlpool service center details from net.

Within in minutes I collected information from net and called their customer service and gave our residential address along with 3 set of contact numbers to reach us. They gave me complain number and told within 2 hours will receive a call from their end. 4 hrs post lodging the complaining called them back as we didn't receive the call. Then customer care executive told me by evening 8 pm concerned person will call me.

When I reached home at around 7 pm found washing machine has started its function once again, as whirlpool had sent their service engineer and he did fix the problem in short span of time. Was surprised to see their dedication towards customer grievance. Hats off to these guys who keep their words when it comes to satisfaction.

The day when bhabhi called me to check details from net, bhaiya had planned to get a new washing machine even though we got this machine an year ago. Now have no worries as I know whenever our washing machine develop some trouble its engineers will be their to help in short span of time...

Chilling cold in Bangalore..

Bangalore was known as air conditioned city few years ago. That time when people used to build houses, they won't keep the option for ceiling fans thinking it won't be of any use to them. Slowly people felt the need for fans now then can't survive without ACs. Drastic change in climatic behavior from then till now.

When I came to Bangalore 4 years ago only thing which was liked by me was the chill mornings time, which made it difficult to leave bed. But wanted hot water to take bath, without it can't even think of getting inside bathroom. People don't sweat here frequently, until and unless they do so strainful job.

Winters were normal here, people have hardly seen foggy morning for long hours as witnessed in Delhi, U.P etc. As I had spend my childhood days in U.P. used to miss the foggy days experienced during winter vacation. It was great fun sitting in front of bon fire full day, walking on terrace in afternoon, having tasty hot snacks in evening, warm sleep under heavy quilt at night.

But this year for the first time had seen foggy morning in bangalore, something bit unusual here. Was very happy, reminded me of my stay in U.P. Took my bike to capture the fantastic view outside, made one full round of my locality. It was wonderful experience, climbed terrace to enjoy more of scenatic beauty.

In the midst of excitement forget to wear woolen clothes, as a result of which now am sitting in office with a sweater and a jacket over to keep my body warm. Had an attack of sinus which had forced me to do do all these along with medicines and inhalation daily. Never mind to gain something good one need to make some sacrifices.

I will repeat the same thing if bangalore experiences foggy morning ahead. Doctors are their to handle rest....

Don't know how holidays pass by..

It was a long weekend from 25dec - 27th dec, cool 3 days at home, had been planning for it since the beginning of December. Thought of going to church followed by a small trip to M.G. Road. be there till late night. But dreams are far away from reality, if things do start happening at the inception of thoughts then life would have been much more easy.

Reached home too late on 24, was too tired just went to bed to wake up by 8 on 25 dec. Was getting ready for church when I received a call to meet a friend urgently for some work, things were unavoidable so had to leave. By the time my meeting was over with him, it was pass 2pm, as the place was close to my cousin's house went to meet him. He also had 2 days off me too had no plans as things went hay ware. He packed his bags and we left for my place. Since I was too tired, he took responsibility of preparing the dinner, helped him little.

Saturday and Sunday was fun with him watching movie, going out, chatting, shopping, cooking. Both of us were quite relaxed as our schedules are hectic, we needed break from it. Though things didn't turn up the way it was planned but whatever had happened was beyond my planning and expectation.

Didn't even realize our merry making days are gone till he left for his place yesterday and I prepared for office. We always plan for various things but at-times should even go for planned events..its great fun as I had...

Days ahead without Sunil (my manager)

Sunil was suppose to be discharged from his duties and responsibilities as Marketing Manager siliconindia.com today ie 22nd dec 09, we had planned a small surprise for him. But to our utter shock, we were told by lunch time,"today is his last day in office"ie 21 dec 09. We were not prepared for it, his gift was at my colleagues place close to office.

First we did was to compose ourselves and make arrangements to get the gift, without letting him know about it. We had lunch as early as possible to leave office before he drops in post lunch-break. By the time we were back he was at his desk, trying to wind up left over work. Cautiously I hid the gift in my helmet avoid his attention. He was suppose to leave by 4 pm.

By 3 pm all of us gathered at his desk to handover his farewell gift, a wrist watch along with a card. He was delighted to receive it from our end and promised a team lunch some time this week. Wished all of us gosdluck for future but for me, abhra & jaya he had something else to be said." All 3 of us should get married at the earliest and invite him for the same".

Post exchange of gift, I was too sad on the verge of an emotional break down. Reason for it was that I started my career under him, it has been two and half years since we were together. Just to make me comfortable he was cracking jokes to make the atmosphere cool. When I was about to leave for the day he told not to cry on reaching home. Didn't assured him anything and left the place.
Justify Full
Their has been a turn around since I joined office, all those who had joined before ma had left the firm. New face have taken their place but its not easy to be comfortable with them.

Today it was too difficult to be at my desk without Sunil next to me, a habit of 30 months. Initially it was bit difficult but as the hours are passing by am coming to terms with reality. Seems like things have changed a lot from yesterday till today. Now I need to move forward all my self without any support from any one.

My manager's resignation

People would love to hate their managers than admiring them or learning expertise under his supervision. This was my notion much before I joined office, all my friends used to tell tales of their managers at respective workplaces. They are devils who would love to screw your happiness at any given point of time.

Things are not the same for every one, my manager was entirely different from others. Till date he has never scolded me an achievement in itself. When ever mistakes occurred, he was more prone to know about the cause than shouting and hauling. Nobody commits mistakes intentionally, as none like scolding. At times when matter used to be serious he used conference room to discuss the problem, amicable way of dealing issues.

When at work he was my manager other time we were more of friends. He never tolerated any compromise in work related issues. Always motivated us to move forward in career, forced team members to use their grey matter present in brain. Had always given space for creativity and new ideas to throng in. That could be one of the reason why I have achieved success at a short span of time.

Like any other day I was busy with my work when Sunil informed us about his resignation, we thought he was kidding, as cracking jokes is a part of his life. But when his resignation letter was before us, we realized the seriousness of matter. It was a big shock to us, still trying to recover from it. We even requested him to reconsider his decision but he was head strong.

Don't know what future holds for me but am proud to start my career under him, have learned a lot from him, especially people management skills. Will miss him for sure and if given an opportunity to work under him again their is no second thought to it.

Hope more employees find managers like to work with...

A day without AC in office

May the impact of global warming the climatic conditions has changed drastically around the world. Bangalore was know as air conditioned city few years ago but now people can't people without AC during day time. Morning n evening time is pretty cool usually in comparison to afternoon. Most offices in bangalore are have centralized AC to maintain normal temperature due to the presence of glass chambers in office, which absorb more heat.

Yesterday when I turned of our zones AC found it was not functioning, as it was not responding to remote. Immediately informed our office guy about it, he in turn called up mechanic to fix up the problem. After reviewing AC it was discovered problem was bit major, will take a day or two for rectification. Me and manager were thinking of the days ahead with AC.

Though fans were there to cool to the temperature but by afternoon started feeling like fever was not able to concentrate on work even. By evening it became unbearable for me to sit in office and left for home early as has developed severe headache by then. Don't have AC in my house but can survive there not in workplace. Seems like its because of the temperament one has towards things.Night it was pretty cold so didn't even turn on the fan even.

Mechanics were suppose to drop in today but they didn't turn up. I was prepared for it so am not feeling uncomfortable today as it was yesterday. My manager is one person who can't survive without AC in office, even if its raining or has snowfall outside. The moment he comes to office first thing done by him is to adjust the temperature of AC. If we complain he tells us either to shift our seat or bring woolens to office, left with no other option sit in cool temperature.

We should try to avoid these things once in a blue moon to test our ability to survive without them. Don't you feel the same..
