Tussle with an anti virus

I am not very good with technical but somehow manage things. Most installations on my lappy are done by friends who have through knowledge of things. Have never handed over my lappy to people for experimenting nor do I venture for it, unless left with no other option in hand.

Anti virus on my system got expired just thought of downloading one from internet for the time being till my friend gets me a new one, which he has installed himself on his system. After much research I downloaded one from internet but it was the biggest mistake I did. The moment I downloaded antivirus tried to install it on my lappy god know what went wrong, my system developed some major problem which I did face till date. None on my icons were working , when I try to turn off my system even that was not happening.

I had to opt for forced turn off and when I turn on it won’t get started up. All this was happening at time when I wanted my lappy badly to complete an assigned. I asked my wife, who happens to be an MCA but even she couldn’t help me. In the mean while I was trying option to turn on the system and uninstall the antivirus.

Then I started my system in safemode than turn it onto normal mode, it worked. From their went to setting and uninstalled that software. All this process took more an 2 hours but I learned one thing never install things about which you are not sure and tuning system to safe mode can be beneficial to you.

Will their be an end to tatkal ticket woes?

Tatkal tickets were introduced to benefit passenger who opt for last moment travel due to some unforeseen necessity. Passengers have welcomed it with open heart. But railways keep changing the rule which is creating problem for the passengers to keep pace with.

Booking ticket through net is another big boon to people who find it difficult to reach station and book tickets. People working in IT sector are too happy about it because now they can book ticket from their office cubical. In the busy schedule of 9-6 IT professionals are left with little or no time to locate a railway booking centre. Most people opting for it are from IT industry or tech savvy people.

Even tatkal tickets could be booked through it if we do it with in the stipulated time. But logging into IRCTC at 8 am is a tough job, if we are can easily log in else will have to wait to decongest the traffic online.

Latest reform brought in tatkal ticket has not at all been welcomed by people like who have been addicted to IRCTC for booking tickets. Now in order to book tatkal ticket we need to be at the ticket window when it opens up at 8 in the morning. No idea why and for who’s benefit this plan has been incorporated.

Now I will have find an agent who will help me in booking ticket in case of an emergency or opt for bus to travelling home.  Railway agents are the only person who have benefitted by the recent move of railway ministry.

If government wants us to go back to old day then the why was this modernization done and for whom? You can give somebody excellent quality service once and then they it back. I do accept the fact that their were few issues with tatkal ticket which forced ministry to take this decision but it could have been in dealt in more passenger friendly manner than being loop sided to agents.

Why is government against” Slutwalk” in India?

People always speak about women empowerment, liberation and things which could help them to grow in the society. But when time come for them to support women for things relating to women empowerment, these people they step back.  Forcing women to fight their battle all by themselves.

Slutwalk is one such raging issue, where government and administration is backing women for raising protest against atrocities done to them. Slutwalk was suppose to be held in Bangalore recently, organizers had taken permission from the administration to support them for it.  Administration agreed to provide full support to them but on the day of the venue they not only backed out, even forced the organizers to stop it as well.

Abiding by the verdict of organizers cancelled the event, but just to inform people, who would gather at the venue they decided to come to the venue. Cops their manhandled them badly and were arrested despite making their point before the senior officials, nobody paid heed to their words. This has now led to great hue and cry among the citizens.

Its not the first time Slutwalk was being organized in India, in past also such events have been conducted. That time nobody raise their voice now administration is raising voice. I don’t think it is right in any way to discourage people who want raise issues concerning them in peaceful manner to be hammered by the administration using violence.

Society is against such marches saying that it doesn’t go with Indian culture as it portrays women in indecent manner. Just want to know, what the society has done to people who did forcefully stripped women in full public galore. There are so many such examples from about which society and administration is still silent. Wasn’t the dignity of women at stake then?

If it was accepted, then people keep mum about Slutwalk and watch it as mute spectators, which they are used about.

Kabil Sibal on social networking sites

Social networking sites facebook & twitter has become the life of people especially the youths of the nation. They are ready to forgo food but can’t miss from logging to facebook or twitter. Facebook is more predominant among youth than twitter.  India witnessed the presence of social networking through orkut and people were crazy about it.

Nobody knows how facebook become so popular in India, people go by different set of stories to support their stand. Some say its because of games like Farmville , where in user has to login daily to FB for taking care of his farm. While other say options like “friend finder like” has made it to the place where it is today.

Today most of the companies are depended on FB for promoting their business online. User are free to raise their voice on FB about the topic which interest them. Facebook users have been posting content on their FB space depending upon their instinct and they have the full right to do so. India is a democratic country with certain fundamental rights awarded to it citizens.

Do accept the fact that at times content posted on such sites harm sentiments of people but if it brought to the notice of the sites they will take appropriate action. Has done so in past. “Once Barkha Dutt has saved the precious life of a women who wanted to commit suicide, twitter help her in doing do”.

I think instead of enforcing code of conduct on such websites, Kapil Sibbal should figure some other to find solution the problem addressed by him. Their could be multiple ways in which one problem can be solved only thing is that, it need to be found.

Marriage "destiny or sheer co-incidence"

Have heard people saying that “time and tide wait for none”. Its true in some cases especially when it comes to marriage. My family can be taken as perfect example for it. My parents along with my cousin’s parents (2 cousins) were hunting out for our better half’s for more than 2 years now. Each family was looking out for suitable match for 3 prospective candidates for marriage.

Me along with my cousins were under constant pressure due this, since we were not willing to get married anytime soon. We tried our level by rejecting proposals, giving our own unique excuses to avoid marriage to some extent. Finally we gave up and told our parents that whatever they are going to decide we will abide by it. Our parents were happy but we weren’t, thinking about what will happen next.

This year beginning was no better for all 3 of us. Proposals started pouring in we had to see our prospective brides and groom. My cousins were in better position since they were in kerala but I have to go visit Kerala frequently to see girls. Me and cousins were fed with this parade of seeing brides and groom and wanted to get rid of it as the earliest.

April I saw a girl (who is now my wife) and left things to destiny and my parents to decide. God knows what happened, within a month’s time my engagement was announced, with marriage in august. My cousins were very happy for me but I was worried for them. Soon after I got engaged, my cousin called to tell her marriage is also been fixed for September.

It was unbelievable, and out weeding days just had a difference of just 10 days. We got married and now we wanted out 3rd cousin to get settled as early as possible. Nothing was working out for him, even we left hope for it, then he called me to tell me that his wedding is scheduled of December.

Our family members are very happy, they didn’t expect that all 3 of us would be married this year. I do believe in destiny but our marriages are a sheer example of it. All I can want now is that we 3 should lead a prosperous and happy married life with our respective partners.

May god shower his blessings on all 3 of us.

Transition from bachelor to married life

Life changes a lot post marriage and people take time to accept it. Change is inevitable for both guys and girls but they the how it effect individuals vary. We need to accept the fact and move on than staying back and thinking about our past days.

Same happened with me when I attended my first party post marriage, it was the ”first birthday party” of a kid. I went there with my wife and brother in law. All one could see there was, small kids playing around, some sleeping in their parent’s shoulder, while others were crying. Couldn’t believe it was me there. It took some 30mins for me to accept the fact and come to terms with reality.

I hardly knew anyone there, since it was my brother in law’s friend’s party. All grown up guys with their wives, and kids around. I prefer to stand at one corner with my wife and see how things are moving about. Once the cake was cut I started feeling better and then started enjoying with the people around.

We left part by 10pm since it was getting late for everyone, despite it being Saturday. Usually people tend to party late on Saturday’s since Sunday is a holiday for all.

Once back home, was thinking about the change marriage brought to my life. Earlier weekends were meant only to be meant with my gang of friends, going out for long drives at night. Chatting with friends till late at night, watching movies, having dinner at 1 in the morning, fighting for space to sleep.

The type of parties attended during bachelor’s time friends b’days party, night life at pubs. One could enjoy a lot at such places with friends out there, indulge in small mischief’s without harming anyone. We used to leave party when everyone else has left the venue, no matter how much late it is.

Now can’t attend parties without my soul mate and need to leave party before it gets too late. Even while at party need to take care of wife and ensure that she is comfortable being there. "Earlier the life which was meant only for friends and fun has now been replaced by sense of responsibility towards my life partner. Friends will still be their but personal life will come first rest secondary".

College days re lived again with friends

Sometimes when things happen the ways we have not planned it, they turn out to be memorable memories to be cherished upon for life. Yesterday night was one such day for me, was about to go for bed, when Sreerag asked me to come out of my room as Jaison wanted to meet him. He will be at his room in 10 min time. Me and Sreerag got engaged in chat and Jaison joined us soon, he came with Sam and Anand.

Jaison had plans to booze got dinner and drinks along invited me to join them, initially I was hesitant but when they insisted didn’t think of anything then. Came to room changed and went to Jaison place, building opposite to my room. We started talking since it was long time we met last. Drinks started pouring in followed by chat and eatables. 3 pegs down I started losing control on myself, was finding it difficult to speak as well but had full control on my senses so didn’t utter anything rubbish.

Anand, Jaison, Sreerag and Sam had full control on themselves, my capacity is 2 pegs didn’t go beyond it anything, this time had just given a try to it reason was the good company I was with. By 1.30 all started feeling hungry since all shops were closed we decided to go ecity pahse 1 where one shop was open. I was not in a position to ride bike so Sam decided to ride bike with me as pillion rider. Anand knew the shop so Sam and Sreerag followed him. It was damn cold and I was in sleeveless was shivering throughout.

By the time I reached their was fully out, asked Sam to put to bike on centre stand and just laid upon it. Vomiting sensation was high on me so didn’t had anything but in sometime vomited whatever I had. Was feeling much better then, was very restless wanted to hit bed at the earliest. Since dinner was over for other we decided to get back, Anand asked me to go along with him let Sam come alone. Anand took good care of me while driving back, he put my hands round his chest and ensured it I hold him firmly.

Within in minutes we were at room, Anand helped me to bed and put a pillow next to me to hold upon. I feel all boys have this habit of holding pillows while at bed, most of my friends have it. Soon Sreerag took away my pillow and placed himself in its place. I held him tight like a pillow, he was perfect for it since he is bit fat.

By the time I woke up in morning, was having headache and it was then I realized Sreerag snores while sleeping didn’t know about these things at night. Was in no mood to wake up since tiredness and restlessness was high on me. Came to my room and had lime juice after that I was normal.

But it refreshed me of my MBA days when such parties was weekend routine and used to help people who used to be out after few drinks. Most important thing was the support of my friends, so I usually prefer to have drinks in the company of my friends. Thanks to Jaison, Sreerag, Anand and Sam for making my day.
